The fabulous days of fall should last for months and months.   As I recovered from a hand surgery, we enjoyed our annual fall vacation (interesting since I had a weight restriction and could not carry a full camera bag!).    We visited Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.   We met some delightful new friends and visited some unique and beautiful sites.    Just to name a few: visited a granite quarry to see how they get the granite for headstones and watch them being carved, of course the Ben & Jerry's tour, and a gorgeous ride in a 2 seater float plane over miles of fall trees around Moosehead Lake in Maine.   Look for some photos of the trip to show up in the Travel section of this website in the next few days.

     I have also enjoyed great times at home with portrait sessions with new families, engaged couples and a gorgeous outside wedding in Peoria.  Central Illinois has been enjoying the best of fall weather this week.   We've been able to get outside for photo shoots.  The fall colors in the trees is very dependent on what the summer weather has been and what it is now.   The huge oak tree behind the house here in Carlock is really pretty and I've seen some sweet spots of color in Bloomington/Normal.

      October 23 I will again join Advocate Bromenn's New Mom's Tea to take photos of all the mom's and babies there for their complementary portrait print.   Everyone has a grand time and the vendor's are all there for mothers and babies.    Hope to see you there!  (register by calling the Women's Center at Bromenn if  you think you can come -the program will be held at the new Park Hotel.
